Dr. Jeff Alba
Dr. Jeff Alba earned both his DMD degree and certificate in the Specialty of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics as well as a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his training, Jeff returned home to practice alongside his father, Dr. Fred Alba. Together, Fred and Jeff have focused their practice on utilizing state of the art technology to deliver efficient and consistent high-quality orthodontic care. Jeff is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and he also serves on the executive board of the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. Jeff and his wife, Jillian, live in Mechanicsburg with their daughter, Sawyer, son, Jack, and dog, Lucy.
Dr. Varun Arya, D.M.D
Dr. Arya grew up in New Delhi, India and attended the most prestigious dental school in India, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal University and graduated Valedictorian in 2009 obtaining a Bachelors of Dental Surgery with an academic excellence gold medal award. His passion for dentistry and compassion for community service motivated him to pursue specialty training and for that he moved to the United States. He attended Boston University and obtained a D.M.D degree where again he earned a spot on the Dean's List and then entered an advanced specialty education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University and Boston Medical Center graduating in 2017. He has received several awards including best dental student award in the undergraduate OMS, honorary induction to Lambda Mu chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, national resident research award at the 2015 annual meeting of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Washington D.C. He has even written book chapters and many peer reviewed articles in reputable journals. Dr. Arya resides in Mechanicsburg, PA and has a passion for cooking, along with travelling with his dentist wife Dr. Setia. They love exploring places, relish different food and experiencing different cultures across the globe.
Dr. William (Bill) Buis
Dr. Buis grew up in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. William graduated Northampton Area High School and competed collegiately in football and track and field at the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Upon entering dental school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, he was actively involved in pediatric community outreach and served as a LECOM representative at local, state and national events for the American Student Dental Association. He completed residency at NYU Langone Hospitals Pediatric Dental Residency in Tucson, Arizona. During residency William adopted his pet golden retriever, Calibur, who is now the office mascot at Advanced Pediatric Dentistry. In his free time he enjoys outdoor sports, video games, activities on his family’s farm and spending time with Calibur.
Dr. Brett Cole
Dr. Cole is a Washington state native and grew up near the Seattle area. He played baseball in college in Arizona and returned to finish his degree in Microbiology at Washington State University where he graduated from the Honors College, summa cum laude. He received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 and went back to Washington to practice general dentistry with his father. He worked within an established network of professionals that helped open his eyes to the benefits of working in a multidisciplinary setting and went back to the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 to specialize in Endodontics. He met his wife while specializing at Pitt and they moved off to Denver together for two years before coming back to the Central Pennsylvania area. In his free time Dr. Cole enjoys hiking, golfing and fly fishing.
Dr. William Currie
Dr. William Currie was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He received an Undergraduate Degree in chemistry and philosophy from Hampden-Sydney and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Medical College of Virginia in 1981. After dental school he completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Then Dr. Currie moved to Delaware where he completed a 4-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical Center of Delaware. Dr. Currie has devoted his professional career to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice with special interests in the treatment of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and dental implants. To keep abreast of the latest developments in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has always exceeded the continuing education requirements of Pennsylvania. He has been listed as one of central PAs best doctors by Harrisburg magazine and he has lived and practiced in Carlisle and Shippensburg for the past 27 years. Dr. Currie’s hobbies include outdoor adventure, all types of sports, wood working, golf and playing the guitar. Has been married for thirty-one years to his wife, Sally and has two children.
Dr. Joseph Diminick
Dr. Diminick attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Psychology. He then attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science. He was also involved in adapting retinal scanning for patient identification in local hospitals. Joseph achieved his DMD degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, FL. While in dental school he completed research in cephalometric analysis, investigating predisposition to reduced airway space. Dr. Diminick was given the LECOM Academic Scholarship award. He then completed a 3 year residency in the specialty of orthodontics at Seton Hill University, and is a board certified orthodontist. Dr. Diminick is married to Dr. Megan Diminick, a graduate of St. Francis University. Dr. Diminick furthered her education, receiving her DMD degree from the University of Pittsburgh. They reside in Mechanicsburg, PA and greatly enjoy spending their free time with family and their golden retriever puppy, Patton. Drs. Diminick are avid University of Pittsburgh sports fan. They enjoy cheering on the Pitt Panthers!
Christine brings with her a wealth of experience of over 27 years in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She has been with the Wood & Myers Oral Surgery since 1999 in numerous roles and most noteworthy being her leadership role, leading an entire team of surgical assistants and staff. Throughout the years she has had direct patient care, as Dr Myers’ lead assistant and the lead implant coordinator. She has run implant coordinator lectures for office managers of the general dentists in the Greater Harrisburg area, helping them build a solid implant patient base. Her wealth of knowledge has gained the trust of our patients and staff members, streamlining her as Wood and Myers Carlisle location site Manager. Chris lives with her husband of 33 years, Steve, in Manchester. She has 2 sons, Drew and Devin. In her spare time, there is no better way to spend it, other than with her family and her three grandchildren Wyatt, Vivienne, and Bentley.
Dr. Edward Hilton
Dr. Hilton has been practicing orthodontics since 1985. Throughout his 36 years of private practice, Dr. Hilton developed a reputation as a caring and detail focused orthodontist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lebanon Valley College and his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University in 1983. He then furthered his studies, at Temple University becoming a specialist in orthodontics in 1985. Dr. Hilton achieved his Board Certification in Orthodontics in 1995. Dr. Hilton is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Pennsylvania Orthodontic Association, and Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontics. As well as all National, State, and Local Dental Societies. Dr. Hilton is well respected by his colleagues, and lectures doctors and staff in local study groups and educational forums. In his free time, Dr. Hilton enjoys traveling with his wife Dorothy.
Dr. Danielle L. Holland, D.M.D
Dr. Holland was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Immediately following residency, she started her private practice career in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2013, graduating cum laude. She went on to complete her surgical residency with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Temple University Hospital in 2018, serving as Chief Resident from 2017–2018. She also served as attending faculty with the Dental Residents at LVH and was awarded Teacher of the Year during her first year as an attending. During her years of training, she has developed a particular interest in facial cosmetics and has a niche for facial rejuvenation using Botox, fillers, new state of the art technology Skin Pen and PRP. Her passion for cosmetics is deeply rooted in her desire to help patients stay as youthful on the outside as they feel on the inside. Dr. Holland is married and has two active sons, Landon and Ledger. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, working out, and staying current on advancements in her profession.
Dr. Mark Kearns
Dr. Kearns has been practicing orthodontics since 1995 and is a partner at MKL Orthodontics. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Juniata College, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, where he graduated magna cum laude. In addition, he completed advanced studies from the University of Maryland, earning a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics. An esteemed member of the dental and orthodontic community, Dr. Kearns is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists and is an Invisalign Premier Provider. Dr. Kearns is actively involved in the Ski Roundtop Ski Patrol, and enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, boating and One Wheeling.
Dr. Robert L. Myers, D.M.D, M.B.A
Dr. Robert Myers, a 1994 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, has been in private practice in Camp Hill since 1998. Dr. Myers is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Myers lives in Camp Hill with his wife Christine and two sons, Tyler and Carey.
Dr. Madhur Patil
Dr. Patil was born and raised in Central India. After graduating from dental school in India, he moved to the United States for further education. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX to receive his Masters Degree in Public Health. He then received his DMD degree from Boston University and worked as a general dentist for 3 years in Erie, Pennsylvania. Working in an underserved community clinic, kindled his interest in pediatrics. He then completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. After finishing his residency he joined Kearns and Ashby Pediatric Dental Office where he has been in practice for almost 4 years. He is on staff at West Shore Surgery Center and Hershey Medical Center. Dr Patil’s passion for helping others continues beyond the dental office and he serves as a Major in the United States Army Reserves. When he is not working, he loves spending time with his wife Kim, daughter Navya and his dog Moka.
Parnel Scalambrino, M.B.A
Parnel Scalambrino is a decorated, recently retired, United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant of 23 years. Has held multiple high-level leadership positions within the Air Force Medical Service, with wide-ranging experience in emergency preparedness, medical readiness, deployment operations, humanitarian aid & disaster relief efforts. Spanning 29 countries, 11 assignment locations, 3 deployments and 2 humanitarian missions, Parnel has led and influenced over 10,000 personnel in his career. He graduated with honors from Liberty University with a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Executive Leadership. Parnel is a dynamic, passionate, servant leader with a keen ability to inspire, motivate and develop highly successful people and teams. Through years of leading medical and dental facilities, he has an extensive range of leadership & management skills to maximize employee efficiency, ensure patient safety and cultivate continuous process improvement. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Wood & Myers Oral Surgery.
Dr. M. Nader Sharifi, D.D.S, MS
Dr. Nader Sharifi holds a certificate in prosthodontics and a master’s degree in biomaterials from Northwestern University. He received his dental education at the University of Illinois. He has presented more than 400 lectures covering numerous topics on restorative dentistry. His presentations on restorative dentistry and patient care have earned him recognition from esteemed study groups, societies, and associations across the nation and internationally. Dr. Sharifi is a former assistant professor at Northwestern University. In 1996 he was named to the American Dental Association’s Speakers Bureau, and in 2007 Chicago Dental Society honored him with the Gordon J. Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award. He has also been honored with fellowship in the American College of Dentists and membership in the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry—both in 2010. Dr. Sharifi currently maintains a full-time private practice of adult general dentistry in Chicago’s downtown loop.
Dr. Daniel J. Smith, D.M.D
Dr. Smith was born and raised in western Lehigh Valley near Allentown, Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors from Kutztown University with a B.S. in Biology and received a Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree from Temple University with high honors in 2010. Dr. Smith then received a commission of Captain in the U.S. Air Force where he completed a residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the military’s only level 1 trauma center; San Antonio Military Medical Center. Dr. Smith finished his military commitment as an attending at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, Bethesda MD, with the rank of Major. He has been distinguished in his service and received the Meritorious Service Medal in 2018. Dr. Smith is continuing to serve his country as a member of the Dover Air Force Base reserve unit. Dr. Smith's hobbies include soccer, cars/automotive racing, golf, and hanging out around a campfire. He has a strong faith and has been married to his wife Hannah since 2010. They have 5 wonderful nieces and nephews to keep them busy.
Dr. Timothy Storm
Dr. TJ Storm is an Attending Staff Physician in Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Surgery employed by Geisinger Health System and a Clinical Instructor of Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He graduated with a BS in Biology with Honors from The College of William and Mary in 2009, received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2013 and completed his OMS training at Temple University Hospital in 2018. He is a full-time faculty member in Geisinger's CODA-accredited OMS residency training program and holds admitting privileges at Geisinger's Wyoming Valley, South Wilkes-Barre, Geisinger Medical Center, Bloomsburg, and Community Medical Centers in Central and Northeast Pennsylvania. He has surgical interests in dentoalveolar surgery and anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, alveolar cleft surgery, and temporomandibular joint surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and two sons Hudson and Noah outdoors boating, fishing, kayaking, hiking and cycling.
