Hector Siordia
Originally from Glendale, AZ, Dr. Siordia completed his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology & Physiology at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. During dental school, he was accepted into the United States Air Force scholarship program. He accepted a military commission and joined the United States Air Force, where he earned his DDS degree at Creighton University – School of Dentistry. His first assignment in the USAF was at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Dr. Siordia served as a general dentist for four years while stationed at USAFA. Following his initial assignment, he completed his rigorous training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at San Antonio Military Medical Center, our nation’s largest military hospital and only military hospital designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center. He served as chief resident at San Antonio Military Medical Center, Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center and Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Siordia became highly trained in all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, general anesthesia, orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgeries, cosmetic surgery, pathology and reconstruction, TMJ surgery and treatment of facial trauma. Following residency, Dr. Siordia went on to serve overseas in the US Air Force at Osan Air Base (Republic of Korea), Ramstein Air Base and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (Germany) where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his time at the Osan and Ramstein Air Bases, Dr. Siordia was Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. After 13 years of active-duty service, Dr. Siordia and his family moved to Pennsylvania and joined Wood & Myers Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He continues to serve our country in the Air National Guard.
Dr. Siordia has a passion for humanitarian work and has served on several missions to provide dental and surgical care to underserved populations. Dr. Siordia practices full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and stays up to date with surgical techniques and digital applications in surgery via continuing education courses. He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support.
Dr. Siordia is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Society, and the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also received fellowship by the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Outside of the office Dr. Siordia enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, CrossFit, sports and reading. Though he enjoys his hobbies and practice, his favorite time is spent with his wife Emily and their son.
